
Scott R. Daniel MD, FACS
Dr. Daniel was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1957 and grew up in Hampton, Georgia. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy in 1979 and subsequently was a practicing pharmacist for 2 years prior to returning to the Medical College of Georgia, where he received his M.D. in 1985. He was invited to join the Alpha Omega Alpha academic medical honor society during his fourth year of medical school. He completed his internship and residency at the Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC in 1990.
Dr. Daniel was the second member of Cartersville Surgical Associates, joining Dr. John T. Perry in 1990. He performed the first laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the Cartersville area in 1990.
Areas of interest in addition to minimally invasive surgery include endocrine (thyroid and parathyroid) surgery, endoscopy and surgery for benign and malignant diseases of the breasts.
He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Medical Association of Georgia.
On a personal note, he married to Keely Caudelle in 1979 and has two children, Zachary born in 1988 and Katy born in 1990.
Personal interests include flying as a private pilot, raising Angus cattle, boating and playing with his dogs, Albert and Kylie Blue.
